Hi NG,

we have a loadbalanced webserver (2x w2k3 IIS 6.0).
It seem like the loadbalancing doesn't work.

Box A is doing all the work and Box B does nothing.

If I disable the Webservice nothing works.

The request is not forwarded to BOX B

What am im doing wrong?

Regards,

David

Goto a command prompt and run wlbs start on server B.
If that doesn't work run wlbs display and post the output here.

Thank You

I am having similar issues. I know Load Balancing is configured correctly,
because the service on the 2nd server starts responding as soon I kill the
first server answering all of the requests.

The only thing that I can guess is the issue, is that I am using older
servers with only one network card in each. These are just dev servers that
we wanted to experiment with before implementing a live solution.

W2K3 Enterprise - SP1 on both machines.

Any ideas???

George,

Thank you for the reply, but I think that is obvious. I have tried from 4
different machines and they all hit the same machine, no matter what the
load. Yes affinity is on (per machine) because I keep sessions. So that
makes no sense to me why 4 different machines go to the same server.

Thanks,
Rob

Goto a command prompt and run wlbs start on server B.
If that doesn't work run wlbs display and post the output here.

Hi NG,
we have a loadbalanced webserver (2x w2k3 IIS 6.0).
It seem like the loadbalancing doesn't work.
Box A is doing all the work and Box B does nothing.
If I disable the Webservice nothing works.
The request is not forwarded to BOX B
What am im doing wrong?
Regards,
David
